FULL BLOOM

It's been a wild couple of weeks around the Schindler abode...many of the goings-on have centered around recovering from a lightning strike.  (My house got struck when I was little; by now, I've had my fill of the stuff.)

Once calm settled, I headed outside to get some shots of the supermoon...and man, were they superbad!

So instead of the moon, I'll post some of the prettiest shots I've taken lately...One of our tulip tree in full bloom this spring:

I can't remember the last time we had so many flowers on our tree...

And one of our hibiscus in bloom right now.  These things are so cool; they're quickly becoming my fave flower:

ME THIS WEEK

One of my junior high friends was over at the house one day when ROMANCING THE STONE came on cable.  You remember how it starts, right?  With Kathleen Turner wrapping up her latest novel, bawling over her own lines as she types?  My friend started laughing; she elbowed me and said, "That's going to be you someday!"

Truer words have never been spoken.  This is what I've looked like this week, as I hammered out my latest book:

SHEER BADNESS

Uh, so, um, yeah. What did I say again? That I’d snap a few firecracker pics for the blog, like it was no big deal? Show off the great south Springfield display? Oh, sure—because everyone knows how incredibly easy digital photography is, right? No such thing as a bad photographer anymore, right?
